History

In 2003, Doug and Jodie Pruemer started Pruemer Precision as a Precision Planting Dealer (perfecting finger meters) which helped farmers improve their planters' singulation and spacing. Over the years, Pruemer Precision tested and rebuilt over 10,000 seed meters. The business continued to evolve and expand into additional precision products for agriculture. Pruemer Precision increased its product offering in 2012 by becoming a Yetter equipment dealer, then again in 2014 by adding 360 Yield Center and Climate Field View. Doug and Jodie had built a thriving business and felt there were endless opportunities for their precision dealership to grow into the future.

In January 2019 The Equity, the largest independent agricultural cooperative in Illinois, purchased Pruemer Precision and formed a new company, Planters' Precision LLC. Planters Precision which operates out of Montrose, Illinois adjacent to The Equity's Montrose branch. "Planters" is a heritage link to The Equity's past when Effingham Equity was regionally recognized by the brand Planters.

In December 2020, Planters Precision expanded their footprint by acquiring two existing precision equipment dealers. They purchased H & H Precision, a Precision Planting and Yetter Equipment dealer located east of Gays, Illinois. They also acquired Saddoris Precision Meter, a precision agronomy company located in Moweaqua, Illinois. H & H Precision and Saddoris Precision Meter now operate as new locations for Planters Precision.

Planters' Precision LLC now operates out of three Illinois locations: Montrose, Gays, and Moweaqua. Planters Precision has a team of 9 full-time employees. The shops can accommodate large planters, sprayers, and combines for installs, re-builds, or custom build solutions. Planters also has 5 fully-equipped service trucks ready for on-farm service calls or to meet a customer in the field to get them back up and running.
